I recently wrote the following to a friend and thought I'd post it here because, if you are a believer, it applies to you:
"When I mentioned that that decision you helped make was 'one of the most eternal things you have done' I meant that it was a moment in time when God allowed you to participate in something that would 'echo in eternity'. Sometimes God gives us stewardship over a far-reaching decision. Decisions like this impact lives tremendously. While seeking to run a life-long marathon race for the Lord--often with not much visible 'return on investment'--it is always exciting when the Lord (a) drops an opportunity in our court and (2) helps us make the right decision such that the implications reverberate across the nations for His glory."
