"Until recently it's looked like Dawkins has done a runner when any challenge has arisen to debate one of his intellectual equals who is a biblical Christian. This Wednesday that changes. John Lennox, also a professor in Oxford, is someone many of us who've been around IFES or UCCF will know: a top-flight mathematician, expert on science and faith, and a first-rate speaker (and superb Bible expositor). They're debating in Birmingham, Alabama, THIS Wednesday 3 Oct at 7pm their time. As I understand a Federal Court Judge will be moderating, 1450 tickets have sold out (I see they're now being sold on eBay), the BBC and Wall St Journal are covering it; apparently it will be broadcast on Moody Radio and we can look forward to a DVD later.
