God surprises me again
"Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen." - Ephesians 3:20-21
Yesterday I received a check in the mail (for my fast-approaching year of missions) from someone I didn't even know. The letter that came with it was so encouraging, I just had to share it with you:
Praise God!
Yesterday I received a check in the mail (for my fast-approaching year of missions) from someone I didn't even know. The letter that came with it was so encouraging, I just had to share it with you:
"I have had the opportunity to meet you (briefly!) and several members of your family. In an effort to stay informed about [your parents'] ministry in Zambia I stumbled upon your website (blog), and I want you to know how much it has meant to me over the last few months. To the author of this letter, thank you! When I shared this with one of the teenagers I mentor last night, he said, "I think this is a confirmation from God."
Due to family responsibilities it is not possible for me to fellowship as much as I would like to with my brothers & sisters [at church] - so it has been wonderful to be able to feel connected to a wider group of Christians who long to serve the Lord. While I know that God can (and does) use me here to be a surrendered conduit for his love and as a witness for His Son - once in a while I dream of going into the wider world to Spread the Word and serve Him in some way! All in His perfect time I'm sure - but in the meantime it is my pleasure to be able to support you with this small gift.
Please know that I may do this because our Father has been so faithful in providing for my [own family]. I send it with sincerest Christian love, giving all praise to 'Him that is able to do exceeding above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us.'
Be assured that I will continue to pray for your family every day (they really touched my heart!) and that you will remain in my frequent prayers as you go to London."
Praise God!
